Going Up
So once again I have gotten way behind on our blog. My
apologies to all who have been following. In an effort to catch up, I am going
to post some entries in an order that will keep with our progress.
With all the floor joists in place, it was time to put
down the sub-floor. I have used a product called Advantec at work that I have
been very impressed with. It is ¾ inch thick and has tongue and groove joints
that will lock in together to make a stronger surface. The main reason I like
this is because it is engineered to no wick up water!
Piece by piece I first glued and then screwed down the
sub-floor. By the end of the day, our platform was ready to go.
Just before we
headed out for the day, we covered everything with a tarp to keep any rain off
the raw wood.
