A New Beginning
A new beginning has started. This
summer marked our third year living in Lynchburg. Having left behind our
working homestead in Vermont. A lot has changed in the last three years, I have
gone back to work full time after the privilege of homeschooling for eighteen years.
Andy and Liv are enjoying life with our two grandchildren (Riley and Caleb),
Alex (now Allie) has graduated from college and has married the love of her
life Brandon. Corey has started college and Breanna is a rising junior at the
local public high school. God has been so good to us.
However we have longed to return to
a homesteading life style complete with some abundant gardens, a few chickens
and a slower, quieter, peaceful place to call our own. Last week a new beginning
started to take shape. We have just sign the deed to a small seven acre plot in
Monroe, Virginia. Currently our sweet little piece of Eden is laden with trees,
brush and an abundance of chiggers.
But it is our place to make our
own.
